LPM2023

AVATARKUNST: Avatars exploring art in a virtual environment are seen as pieces of art. Presenting them and their experience was done for the fist time in 2011 by Art Blue and Art Eames.

IMMERSIONSKUNST: A term coined by Reiner Schneeberger for Avatars immerse in Kunst. Peter Sloterdijk used the term in 2006 in the field of architecture.

TAGREZ: By using tags virtual rooms can combine AVATARKUNST with IMMERSIONSKUNST. Read more at Die Zukunft des digitalen Museums ist digital (Art as you approach) DRUPA 2008, published first in German language.

In the workshop at Münster (April 13-16, 2023), we will create an exhibition that will deal with technology, art and social science. It will theme on an environmental impact: RING OF ICE (Melting of the glaciers).

Come to the presentation and then join the workshop. You will need a notebook where you have Firestorm viewer (Opensim-edition) installed. Also it would be nice if you have your (free) private chat GPT key handy. Also you should have a little experience with image prompt art (any generator is good). For sound (voice) editing, you shall have a (simple) tool at hand – Goldwave is fine.

There will be a handout. It is planned that the workshop spans over 3 days, each day 2 hours with high flexibility for day 2 and 3. There are also daily chances of a come-together in the cafeteria. I will have my mobile at hand and be happy to assist and to give feedback.

Right now I have a video for you: https://avnode.net/videos/supercazzola

In rez Magazine (see the following issues below) you will find examples of prompt art and of the use of AI in the art, embedded in short stories.
